WHO funds research into Coronavirus Vaccine research

World Health Organization asked its members to donate to research and plan for tackling coronavirus. It said it will invest in countries at risk.  They asked for 675 Million dollars to fund their plan for the next 90 days.

WHO said that they are sending 500,000 masks and 40,000 respirators to 24 countries from their warehouses in Dubai & Accra. WHO has already declared Coronavirus a public health emergency.

Alibaba has given $5.8Mn USD to two Chinese research organizations to find vaccine for the virus. Alibaba plans to give $8.2 Mn USD for prevention measures.  Apple said it will contribute to ground efforts. Bill&Melinda Gates have announced 100 Mn USD donation. The Foundation is giving $20Mn to CDC&WHO. $20Mn will go to countries at risk in south Asia and Africa. It has pledged to commit N5Mn to assist Africa CDC to scale up preventive measures in Africa.
