USA is a Developing Country like India and China -Trump

DONALD TRUMP says that America is a developing country like India and China and not developed country. 

USA President Donald Trump said that India and China have derived several priveleges calling themselves developing nations whereas USA is not considered a developing nation but a developed nation. 

Donald Trump has called for WTO reforms saying that WTO has treated USA unfraily. Trump speaking to media at the World Economic Forum in Davos stated that India and China get "tremendous advantages by the fact that they are considered developing and we are not. They shouldn’t be, but if they are, we are. 

WTO chief Roberto Azevedo agreed on the need for WTO to reform. Azevedo said that "It has to be changed, it has to be reformed. This is an agenda that is squarely before members. I don’t think anybody in Geneva misses the point. I think they understand that they system has not been functioning properly in many areas. That’s something that we are trying to address. This is something we are serious about," he added.

This is part of Trump's tradewars with other countries particularly China. Trump is not happy with the priveleges that the worlds biggest economies get visavis USA. Trump wants both India and China to give up their “developing country" status. India is today the world's sixth largest economy, abled primarily due to its huge population dividend. 

Developing countries like India,China,South Africa say that there is huge difference in economic indicators between developed and developing countries. The per capital income ranking for India is at 119 in 2018(IMF), 120(World Bank) whereas China is at 73. USA stands at 10.
