Cricket Game or Political Game

India lost to Pakistan recently in a cricket game in Dubai. In the World Cup, India won all their matches against Pakistan in both formats- One Day International and T20. Registering a 10 wicket win over India, Babar Azam's Pakistan team scripted history. The loss was huge. While India tried to run down the loss as a game of cricket, Pakistan took it another way.

Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed called it Victory of Islam and said that all muslims across globe including indian muslims are celebrating. In India in some parts, crackers were burst celebrating Pakistan's win. Srinagar's SKIMS Hospital medical students burst crackers to celebrate pakistan's win against India.So this meant that India's win all these years against Pakistan was Islam's defeat per Sheikh Rasheed. 

Pakistan PM Imran Khan could not resist celebrating Pakistan's victory by commenting that after the thrashing India received from Pakistan in cricket, it is not the right time to discuss relationships. India is disappointed not in such statements but the behaviour of those Indians who call themselves nationalists but celebrate pakistan's victory. Worst is the secularists support for such people who shout "Pakistan Zindabad". Mehbooba Mufti supports such sloganeers and asks "Why so much anger against Kashmiris celebrating Pakistan's victory?". Police have arrested some students in this regard. Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi too congratulated Pakistan cricket team over their 10 wicket victory against India.Even Pakistan's chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa congratulated the win against India. 

India never looked at it as Hindu vs Muslim Match. But Pakistan and so called secularists have infact made it a Hindu vs Muslim Match. Virender Sehwag tweeted appropriately why firecrackers were allowed to celebrate Pakistan's victory but banned during Diwali. 

The anger perpetrating among Indians is definitely huge at this inappropriate behaviour of some who stay in India, but always carry campaigns against India. It is not that the entire muslim community is celebrating Pakistan's victory but a few try to project it as such. Some people try to always disturb the harmony between Hindus and Muslims in India. 

When cricket is just a game, how come religion, regionalism and politics are brought into it and that too at the level of a prime minister. No politician in India ever commented on all India's wins against Pakistan that it is a victory of Hinduism but the Pakistan PM and his ministers are celebrating Pakistan's unprecedented 10 wicket victory against India.
