3 Diwali Crackers Stores Gutted down in Vijayawada

For the past 30 minutes, Gandhinagar, Vijayawada residents have been hearing crackers continously and have been wondering who is firing crackers so early in the morning. They rushed to the area from where the sounds were coming and found it was the Diwali Crackers stores which caught fire. 3 Stores have been gutted down by the fire. Fire Engines have succeeded in stopping the spread to other stores. The stores were allocated space in Andhra Gymkhana Grounds which now has a petrol bunk in the other corner. 2 Fire Engines are bringing down the residual fires. 3 Fire engines are at standby at present. Perhaps they gutted down the original fire. We went just now to the location.
Police are everywhere sealing entry and sending out bystanders who are increasing constantly to see fire engines bringing down the fires. Petrol Bunk has been temporarily closed.
The stores were started yesterday.Locals are now asking why the stores were given permission when petrol bunk was so close by. If the fire had spread, the petrol bunk would have been the first to be affected. Government should be very careful with Diwali Crackers stores and to the extent possible not give permission anywhere near residential locations, petrol bunks, commercial establishments, etc., There is a school too next to the grounds. Noone is still sure what started the fire.
