2000 Year old,Ancient Ganga Parvathi Sametha Agasteswara Swamy Shiva Lingam

This 2000 Year old Shiva Temple is in Kaza Village in Guntur District.

It has Ganga&Parvathi Goddesses and Virbhadra Swamy statues too in the sabha mandap outside the sanctum sanctorum. The architecture style of temple with a Sanctum Sanctorum and a Sabha Mandap is from the 10th century. Many kings have donated lands to it as noted in the inscriptions in the temple.

Unlike most temples, the temple has a southern door. Kaza is birthplace of Sri Narayana Theerthulu. Kaza is close to Namburu Village from where Parasuram took Priests to Kerala & who were known as Namboodris.

The trip has been arranged by Vihara Travels as part of their series of ancient temples exploration under the supervision of Historian Uma Desu.
