Racing Homer breed pigeons travel 1500 kms and travel back in 3-4 days. There are races conducted by pigeon society of India says the trainer. The birds are fed Millet seeds. They used to be carrying messages between kingdoms in yester years. That they can travel at so much speed indicates their prowess.
