How GENAIPIONEER Students Thrive in the AI Revolution: High-Paying GENAI Jobs and the Changing Recruitment Process

Background:
The Placements Season is in full swing. The rise of Generative AI (GENAI) is not just transforming industries—it’s revolutionizing the way companies recruit top talent. As AI-based tools take over routine coding tasks, companies are prioritizing problem-solving and critical thinking as the most important attributes in their new hires especially in machine learning and GENAI Jobs.
The AI Job Market Surge: According to industry reports, Machine Learning (ML) engineers and AI experts are among the most sought-after professionals. TCS Prime is offering 9-11l for GENAI roles while Infosys Power is offering 9Lakhs for GENAI freshers. Cognizant Tech Wizards Program is now offering 10-12 Lakhs for AI Lead Digital Transformation Projects. Startups, too are raising the salary to ₹6-8 lakhs range for AI engineers fresh out of college. The Salaries are higher in MNCs and GCCs.
In fact, 80% of recruiters across leading tech firms have acknowledged the critical role of AI in reshaping their hiring strategies, aiming to make the recruitment process more efficient and bias-free. This shift has led to the development of AI-powered candidate-scoring systems that evaluate not just coding ability but also a candidate’s ability to integrate AI models into business solutions.
The Changing Face of Recruitment: A Focus on Problem-Solving GENAI jobs are no longer about passing traditional coding interviews. Instead, they focus on problem-solving skills, AI integration, and data-driven decision-making. Companies like TCS and Amazon have shifted to assessing the ability of candidates to:
- Build AI models to streamline business processes.
- Use AI-driven systems to manage large datasets and produce actionable insights.
- Integrate AI into decision-making systems, making human-AI collaboration more effective.
The recruitment process now involves simulations where candidates solve real-world business problems. For instance, during interviews, candidates may be tasked with optimizing AI pipelines for HR recruitment processes, creating predictive models for retention, or designing AI-driven solutions to analyze customer behavior.
GENAIPIONEER’s Unique Approach to Interview Readiness:
The GENAI Rounds are more about GenAI Fundementals, Deep Learning, Prompt Engineering and AI Architectures. We have learned from our experiences in lateral hiring and prepared our students accordingly in facing the GENAI Interview Panel. The Students are taught all possible scenarios on which questions might be asked. The Focus will also be on the Project Work.
In TCS Prime GENAI Interviews so far, students have so far faced questions on GENAI Theory, fundamentals, project details, AI Tools and given problem scenarios to solve. Some samples of the questions asked are:
- Qn 1: What is a convolutional neural network?
- Qn2: Explain autoencoders and its types.
- Qn3 State fuzzy approximation theorem.
- Qn4:Define the following terms - Epoch, Batch, and Iteration.
- Qn5:: What is a convolutional neural network?
- Qn 6: Explain autoencoders and its types.
- Qn7: What are the main components of LSTM?
This obviously requires depth of GenAI Knowledge. We have also had recruiters ask about the students abilities in chatbot creation and finetuning. We have already trained all our students in Chatbots, Finetuning and No Code Platforms from long.
At GENAIPIONEER, we have positioned our students at the forefront of this revolution. Our Final Year students are ready for the TCS Exam in October as well as the Interview rounds well grounded in GENAI. They have already applied for Internships starting from November end. Their placements will be completed by October end. They have done our 100 Hours Program.
Our M.S.Students batch are targeting Summer Internships for 2025 May currently since November is deadline for high quality summer internships in India & in USA. Our M.S.Students are in our 150 Hrs Program Batch, completed 75 Hrs already.
Our 2026 passout batch is currently undergoing internsive training to prepare for the November Application for High Quality Branded Internships. The 2026 Batch does 200 Hrs training positioning them for the 18Lakh Rs+ Jobs since all of them will have completed their Certification Programs. We are pushing even Indian Students for foreign internships this year. Many have shown the path for it. We want our students too to follow this path since GENAI opportunities are more outside. Our students will be ready by Oct. end. Their coursework started on Sept.21 for 2025 Internships.
Moreover, we have recently enhanced our Finishing School Program by integrating Emotional Intelligence (EI) training with AI preparation. Recruiters are prioritizing EI during interviews and aptitude tests. Forbes this month clearly pointed out that EI is going to be key differentiator in the AI World. This approach ensures that our students don’t just walk into an interview—they enter fully prepared to solve the exact challenges they’ll face. Our method acts as a "finishing school" where students gain not only technical expertise but the confidence to ace any GENAI recruitment process.
GENAIPIONEER Success Stories: Breaking into the GENAI Job Market:
Last Year, We had to push through lateral placement since major companies were not coming to campus. There were no coding rounds. Direct placements were held in the special drives. With TCS, Cognizant &Infosys coming to Campus for GENAI Jobs this year, we expect the momentum to percolate to other companies too. We need to explore with the IT Industry next year the possibility of GENAI drive being separate with no coding rounds to increase the options for non-CSE students to compete in GENAI Jobs. This year, the announcement of GENAI has happened just recently.
Akash R. - Tier 1 Indian IT Company (₹15 Lakhs)
Akash, a GENAI graduate, faced a recruitment challenge where he had to design an NLP-based AI model for automating the recruitment process. The model needed to analyze candidate resumes, match them with job descriptions, and score them based on relevance. His solution was supposed to reduce the time-to-hire by 35%. He responded to the given scenario and designed a AI model for the same and suggested the architectures, the libraries and the apps to be used for this.
Priya M. - Tier1 Indian IT Company (₹18 Lakhs)
At a Top Tier IT Major, Priya was given the task of developing an AI pipeline to predict long-term employee retention. Using a combination of ML algorithms and AI-driven retention models, she was able to suggest the model to be adopted and the path to be taken for implementation of the same. The Company liked the way the AI Model was suggested given the scenario.
Vikram S. - GCC Offshore Center (₹22 Lakhs)
Vikram’s challenge involved building a CNN-based model for a retail analytics startup. His AI model had to predict customer movement patterns within retail stores. The Steps to create such a model had to be detailed in the interview. It needed a very strong knowledge of CNN to give a verbal answer to the Interview Panel.
AI-Powered Recruitment: The New Norm More than 36% of companies are now leveraging AI to streamline recruitment, with plans for more to adopt AI-based systems soon. These systems automate resume screening, eliminate biases, and reduce time-to-hire, with tools such as:
- AI Chatbots for initial screening.
- AI-driven assessments for problem-solving.
- Predictive analytics to forecast candidate success rates.
According to Qualcomm, AI-based solutions reduce recruitment time by 40% and improve employee retention by 30%.
Conclusion: The Future of Work is Here GENAI is transforming every aspect of recruitment, and companies are now focusing more on problem-solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Traditional coding roles are being replaced with positions that require AI model management, fine-tuning, and collaborative human-AI solutions. At GENAIPIONEER, we prepare students for this future with our unique Placement Guarantee Program, ensuring they are ready to meet the demands of the AI-driven workforce.
